Finally, after 22 years, the colors of the "painter sunflowers "coming to Rome!


from 08 October 2010 the Vittoriano Complex will host the exhibition "Vincent Van Gogh - Country timeless and modern city."


70 works including paintings, oils, watercolors, works on paper and original letters, but also works by 30 artists that was inspired by the Dutch master: Millet, Pissarro and Cezanne's Impressionist and post-impressionists Seurat and Gauguin.


The exhibition, as the title suggests, compares the two souls of Van Gogh, one of its rural roots (he was born in a country of six thousand souls in Brabant) and the city.
The campaign, with its lights, its smells and its colors that are found in every season and the city that he found so intoxicating, often painted at night in cafes and starry skies, that under the blows of his color and his blood short brush strokes and nerve become mirror of the soul.
